The National Opera Co-ordinating committee (NOCC) exists to co-ordinate the activities of the large-scale opera sector, across the UK. NOCC is a forum to share medium and long range repertoire plans, touring activity and press night information. The aim of co-ordinating this information is to ensure that opera audiences throughout the country have the widest possible access to world class opera performances. Through an open and flexible co-operation between its members and partners, NOCC aims to avoid geographical clashes of repertoire and touring and enables the national co-ordination of press nights.
NOCC is the networking forum for the UK opera sector to meet and share issues of common importance.
NOCC has co-ordinated the plans of the Royal Opera, English National Opera, English Touring Opera, Glyndebourne, Opera North, Scottish Opera and Welsh National Opera for the UK's response to European Opera Days and actively encourages a national press campaign to promote the European Opera Days to the UK media.
