Saturday 8 May 2010 from 1PM to 10:30AM – “Dreams of Opera – Dreams of a Day”
Highlights:
- 1:45PM – Grande Salle – Grand Théâtre – Voice Workshop for amateur artists with the Choir of the Opéra national de Bordeaux
- 3PM - Surprise concert of the Choir and the participants to the voice workshop
- 4:30PM - the Great fashion show: people go up on stage wearing costumes and make-up to parade and dance… under the eyes of the jury and the audience of Tous à l’Opéra
- 6:15PM – Marches du Grand-Théâtre / place de la Comédie
Balloon release in the sky of Bordeaux by the children present during the day and with Rêves, the association which makes ill childrens’ dreams come true… Surprise! In some of these balloons, there are tickets for performances to win… to be found in the city…
- 6:30 - Conference “When wine finds its inspiration in opera…” by Laurent Croizier, followed by a tasting of Côtes de Bourg wine in the Péristyle cour from 8PM. With the syndicat viticole des Côtés de Bourg.
- 8:30 : Projection of the film Carmen Jones by Otto Preminger, which revives Bizet’s famous opera with a Jazz orchestration.
All day long:
- 1PM-10PM – Foyers du Grand Théâtre – Exhibition “The Weavers of Opera”, imagined by Giulio Achilli, who draws the attention on opera arts and works.
- 1:30PM, 3PM, 4:30PM – Hall du Grand Théâtre
Behind the scenes: tour of the dressmaking workshops
- From 1PM – Attique / Grand Théâtre
Carte blanche to a scenographer : “arias and chords”, sound and visual models made by Cécile Léna. In cooperation with Boesner.
- 1PM-6PM: Hall and foyer of the Grand-Théâtre / In cooperation with the Friends of ONBA.
- Treasure hunt for children (5-12) around the theme “tales and mythology”.
- Surprise treasure hunt for the eldest…!
- 1PM-6PM: Grand Théâtre – Make-up workshop with the professional make-up artists of the Opéra…
- 1:30PM, 2:45PM, 4PM, 5:15PM – Café Opéra – Etablissement Jegher – Grand Théâtre – Mask creation workshop followed by a tea time, in cooperation with Boesner and the Jegher institution, for children aged 8 to 12.
